Vista Pointe was founded in 2012 by owner and operator Jill Geidel, but Jill’s dedication to caring for others began long before Vista Pointe opened its doors.

Jill grew up in Slinger, Wisconsin, and graduated from Slinger High School in 1993. She began working as a CNA in 1992 and quickly realized that caring for others was what she was meant to do. Wanting to learn as much as possible, she worked in several different healthcare settings and continued building her experience.

In 2002, Jill completed nursing school and became a registered nurse. Throughout her career, geriatric care remained especially close to her heart. She worked at a nursing home in Hartford from 1992 through 2012, but over time, she became frustrated with the impersonal nature of larger corporate healthcare environments. She believed residents deserved to be treated as individuals rather than numbers.

That belief led Jill to open Vista Pointe in 2012. Her goal was to create a smaller, more personal assisted living community where residents would be known, families would feel comfortable asking questions, and care could be tailored to each person.

Jill remains actively involved at Vista Pointe and is on site each day. For her, Vista Pointe has never been just a business. It is a community built around relationships, trust, and genuine care.
